LOS ANGELES -
Regent Media - which recently acquired
Specialty Publications magazines
Unzipped,
Men and
Freshmen from PlanetOut Inc. - has rebranded the SpecPub properties as
Unzipped Media. To introduce the new brand, Unzipped Media has partnered with
here! Networks to launch a 10-city tour presented by
NakedSword and
Fleshjack and sponsored by
MaleDVD and
Squirt. The tour celebrates Unzipped's new identity and the men of here!'s
The Lair, who are featured in the October issue of
Unzipped magazine.
"We could not be more excited to bring the best and most-recognized titles in the gay adult industry into the Regent Media family," said Dustin Tyner, group publisher for Unzipped Media. "Regent Media offers the gay community the best brands and highest quality content on a variety of platforms.
"Additionally, partnering with here! and the sexy men of
The Lair seemed a natural way to debut the new Unzipped Media," he added.
The promotional tour began Oct. 3 in Chicago, where singer, model and Lair star Colton Ford entertained fans. Throughout October, Ford, along with fellow
Lair stars Johnny Hazzard - the cover model for October's
Unzipped - and Dylan Vox will visit various cities across the country to meet with fans of the Unzipped Media brands and the sexy supernatural series.
The cities on the tour are Minneapolis; Providence, R.I.; Washington, D.C.; Philadelphia; New York; Tampa-St. Petersburg, Fla.; Las Vegas; Los Angeles; and San Francisco.
Season two of
The Lair debuted on here! Networks in September. As warring vampire factions continue to do battle, season two introduces two new characters: Dr. Jake Waldman, a botanist with a mysterious plant that seems to have a mind of its own; and Ian, a wandering lost soul with a dark secret and an even darker beast lurking within.
