The setting may have seemed incongruous - Gameworks, a video arcade catering to the under-18 set, located on Las Vegas Boulevard next to the MGM Grand - but more than 200 adult video fans showed up to sit in front of a makeshift stage in a back room of the business to listen to Amber Lynn and Brittany Andrews auction everything from old porn posters to Sabrina Lovecocks' shoes, all to benefit the AIM Healthcare Foundation.rnrn
"It's really gratifying to see such a large turnout," said Miss Sharon Mitchell, founder of the organization and organizer of the auction, at the event's conclusion. "Between the generosity of the fans here and online, we managed to raise $8500 so that we can continue providing our wide variety of services to the adult community."rnrn
The total included a last-minute $1000 contribution reportedly from the L.A. Lakers basketball team, which has been known to support such humanitarian causes. The auction itself was sponsored by Video Secrets.rnrn
About those shoes: Sabrina's contribution of her high-heeled, double-strapped sparkly red size six-and-a-halfs appeared to be spontaneous, occurring toward the end of the auction. The diminutive blonde, who'd been in the audience for the whole show, mounted the stage to display her wares, and the highly-effective Lynn took it from there. Bidding started slowly, but when Amber got the idea to sell the shoes individually - and added the incentives of the winners being allowed to suck Sabrina's toes and have Brittany trample their chests - the bidding took off, eventually reaching $120 per shoe.rnrn
Other items included a variety of posters, including an artistic, signed B&W shot of Penthouse Pet (and porn star) Venus, as well as an old one-sheet of Let's Get It On, starring Amber Lynn herself - which one lucky bidder took home, autographed, for just $50. Adult Stars Magazine owner John Benn paid $100 for a non-vintage bottle of Dom Perignon - but he noted that one of the reasons for his bid was that the prize included midget star Brian Thomas getting fucked up the ass with a dildo later.rnrn
But the capper of the evening was the auction of six tickets to the AVN Awards show, and though the minimum equaled what AVN itself was charging for the tickets, this set included seats at a table that would also have Amber, Bridgette Kerkove, Nikita Denise, Montana Gunn and Miss Sharon Mitchell. The tickets snagged $250 each.rnrn
Plenty of stars and other familiar porn personalities were in attendance at the event, including Nina Hartley (who also ran the kissing booth - $50 per smooch), her fianc?
