Cops Call Teen a Sex Peddler on Pedals; Charge Him With Pimping Girl, 13, From Bike Handlebars

year-old girlfriend into a low-priced prostitute and delivering her to customers on the handlebars of his bicycle, police said.

Alejandro Gonzalez peddled his young lover to at least three men for between $25 and $35 per tryst, and used the money raised from the 20-minute sex sessions to buy drugs for himself, police allege.

"This guy was really a lowlife, that's what he is," said Hialeah police spokesman Frank Gonzalez. "He would drop her off at different locations and get paid for her sexual acts. He was like a pimp; he was prostituting her to different men."

The girl, who police described as a habitual runaway missing since Feb. 3, was found by officers Feb. 14. At first she did not want to reveal what her boyfriend was doing to her, but later that month she told all, Gonzalez said.

Allegedly Gonzalez, who does not own a car, would transport the 13-year-old to her customers on his bicycle. He would wait until she performed her services and then ride away with her.

Gonzalez, who is being held on $15,000 since his arrest, faces up to 35 years in prison for charges including lewd and lascivious behavior and prostituting a minor, police said.

Also arrested were three alleged customers, Guillermo Gasca, 68, Eduardo Crespo, 37, and Alexander Herrera, 25. They were all charged with lewd behavior and sexual battery on a child under 16.
