SAN FRANCISCO -
In the wake of
Google axing adult domains from its AdSense for Domains
program, "domainers"—people who derive revenue from using
otherwise fallow domains in their portfolios as traffic pumps
or advertising space—have a friend in the GameLink Affiliate
Program, GameLink officials announced Wednesday.
"GameLink can quickly set up revenue streams for one or 100
domains," said GameLink Director Affiliate Sales Michael
Brandvold. "We have niche stores and [video-on-demand]
theaters available to match any domain you own. Parked
domains are a great business, and GameLink can provide the
means to generate revenue."
GameLink's affiliate program has been working successfully
with parked domains for years, Brandvold said. The company's
online stores offer VOD, pay-per-minute content, scenes,
DVDs, and toys and now are an even more attractive revenue
stream, he added. He also promised GameLink will help clients
identify the domains which will perform best, and then create
unique niche stores for each domain. The company will provide
sales and traffic stats to measure the performance and can
assist in creating search-engine-friendly landing pages.
"GameLink can have your domains set up with a niche store or
VOD theatre within a week," he said, adding that the company
will double new clients'first commission check.
Google AdSense for Domains customers must remove any adult
domains they own from the program by May 31.
