CHARLOTTE, N.C.
- Pink Bird Media, owner of
Active
Duty and newly established Dirty Bird Pictures, has inked a deal with
NakedSword-AEBN to add a
new line of films to its library of gay titles.
Dirty Bird Pictures, Dink Flamingo's new production company, will focus on
producing more professional films, as opposed to the amateur-geared Active Duty
line, whose staple is the straight-military-man niche. Dink Flamingo has hired
industry veterans Steve Jerome and Mike Donner for the new company.
"To have this partnership between our two companies and to
be able to carry a line like this is a great honor," said Chris Baker of AEBN, "not
to mention [that] it'll make us the first [video-on-demand] company to carry
titles from Dirty Bird Pictures."
The deal continues a longtime business relationship between
Baker and Dink Flamingo, who have "always worked well together," Baker said.
"It just seemed like a natural fit," Dink Flamingo
said. "Today, AEBN is the industry leader in the online-streaming arena,
and we feel confident about our decision to choose a partnership with them
again."
The Dirty Bird line will premiere on NakedSword-AEBN with Army Strongarm, starring Trent Atkins, Hans Ebson, Mark Hansford,
Login Robbins and Elijah. NakedSword-AEBN will continue to provide VOD for the Active
Duty site.
