Internext Online Domain Auction Concludes, Nets $828,825

POMPANO BEACH, Fla. - The online domain auction, handled by Moniker.com as part of Internext Summer 2008, has concluded and the results are in. More than 90 domains changed hands in the live and extended online auctions, for total sales of $828,825.

In the online version of the event, TopModel.com was the big seller, receiving a final bid of $117,650. During the live event, BJ.com netted the largest bid with $200,000.

Open to attendees of Internext, as well as bidders who signed up to participate online, more than 180 domain names were offered during the live auction, and another 2,000 were available during the extended online auction.

Aside from BJ.com and TopModel.com, other big sellers were Anal.net for $90,000, Flings.com for $68,830, Sluts.net for $58,000, FuckIt.com for $19,000, IQ.net for $17,000 and Shemales.net for $60,000. The domain Shemales.com sold at last year's Internext domain auction for $520,000.

Also offered up for sale was PornosTube.com, which was released from Moniker.com's inventory. All proceeds from that sale - which totaled $350 from an online bidder - will be donated to the Association of Sites Advocating Child Protection.
