Island Fever 2 On Track to Surpass Sales of Original

With the release of Island Fever 2 earlier this month Digital Playground is hoping to duplicate their success of Island Fever, which won the AVN Award for Best Renting Video in 2002, amongst other sales honors. There are a lot of similarities between the two videos - both showcase the talents of Digital Playground co-founder and director Joone, as well as Tera Patrick, and both videos are shot on location in Hawaii.

According to Adella, spokesperson for Digital Playground, VHS sales of Island Fever 2 have surpassed that of the original for the same period of time since the tapes release. The DVD version of Island Fever won Adult DVD Empire's award for Best Selling DVD two years in a row.

Of course, it takes a quality product to garner those sort of results.

"Island Fever II was a tougher shoot then the first film. We shot at very remote locations that have never been photographed before. The secluded gardens and beaches encouraged intensely intimate encounters among the cast resulting in the most erotic performances I've ever witnessed. Tera exudes raw sexuality without restraint," said Joone, who directed the project.

Besides Patrick, Digital contract-performer Devon and a pre-Wicked Stormy also perform in the video, alongside Erik Everhard and Barrett Blade.

Island Fever was filmed on location in Maui, Hawaii and featured Briana Banks and Julia Ann as well as Tera Patrick. Tera Patrick won an AVN Award for Best Tease Performance for her work in the original Island Fever/

The DVD of Island Fever 2 will be released this summer.
