NakedSword Partners With Titan for Exclusive VOD Deal

SAN FRANCISCO – Reuniting two of the biggest brands in online gay adult entertainment, an exclusive partnership between video-on-demand provider NakedSword/AEBN and production house Titan Media will give NakedSword exclusive distribution rights to Titan’s new content. Titan will release its titles on DVD and through VOD Nine months after the titles are released, Titan Media will provide a select group of other VOD providers for additional distribution, said Michael Stabile, director of marketing for NakedSword.

“We’re ecstatic to be working with Titan Media again,” NakedSword Chief Executive Officer Tim Valenti said in a statement. “It feels like a family reunion. We’ve worked with Keith Webb and Bruce Cam at Titan Media so extensively in the past that we feel that we’re at a unique advantage in terms of promoting their brand.”

The deal signifies a continuing successful relationship between the companies that only experienced a brief interruption within the past 11 years, Stabile said. “We’ve worked with [Titan Media] at least since 1997, when we built one of their original online sites,” he told AVNOnline.com. “They were with us pretty much consistently after that.” When NakedSword and AEBN merged in January 2007, a brief dispute between Titan and PornoTube prevented an immediate re-signing between Titan and NakedSword; however, once the dispute was settled, Titan and NakedSword soon reconnected, Stabile said.

“We were able to move forward,” he commented. “We made a proposal to them to [manage] their entire catalog through our network, and we’re all very happy. We’ve had a long history with Titan, and this deal will go for a long time.”

“NakedSword worked with us to build the first TitanMen.com website way back in 1997,” commented Keith Webb, vice president of Titan Media. “Having been a part of Titan Media’s online development since the beginning, we feel confident that NakedSword understands the TitanMen brand. We believe the partnership will be extremely beneficial to both companies and creates one of the strongest online gay brands the industry has ever seen.”

The first clips debuted June 7 and included titles from the Fallen Angels series, as well as titles directed by Joe Gage — representing a broad spectrum of the different content Titan offers, from amateur, low-budget films to the high-production videos made by Gage, Stabile added.

NakedSword currently is working on promoting studios not just through VOD, but also through various other publicity channels, Stabile said. “We’ve had a lot of success with sites like GayPornBlog, the TimAndRomaShow, as well as PornoTube,” Stabile told AVNOnline.com. “That’s really our focus: getting as much promotion for our studios as possible.”
