Stacy Valentine, winner of the Best American Actress award in Cannes this week [the Hot d'Ors], tells us about her famous quote heard 'round the world. Valentine made some comments that were apparently picked up by all the wire services: "I challenge any mainstream actor or actress to take off their clothes and have sex in front of people and tell me that's not acting," is what Valentine said. nnValentine: "I had a great time in Cannes. It was so amazing, and that little quote I gave seemed to go all over the world. We had just done the winners' photographs and everything and I was getting pulled in different directions. I was trying to talk to Misty Rain. We were trying to have this conversation and I was trying to go to the bathroom. A lady kept getting in our faces saying please just answer these questions. She was very rude. She said you guys aren't wanted in Cannes, how do you feel about that? And this isn't really acting. There were really insulting questions like that. I thought what a stinker. I won't use the word I was thinking of. But we really work hard. That was my comment. Controversial, yes, probably. Maybe I shouldn't have said it. But that was my opinion and I really don't care. I read it in several places. I talked to Christine Fugate, the director of the documentary [The Girl Next Door starring Valentine] this morning. She was being interviewed by a small radio station in New Orleans. They had the quote. nn"But Cannes was really great. We had a lot of fun although there weren't that many American girls there. There was Stephanie Swift and Tera Patrick and Julia Ann and that was about it for the girls." nnG. Ross: "All the others were at Bob's Classy Lady Thursday night." nnValentine: "That's what I'm hearing." nnG. Ross: "What's your REAL reaction on winning Best American actress?" nnValentine: "I was really happy with that. The main question I was getting is what are you getting out of the business. 'You're at that level right now.' That's when it's time to go. That's the way I feel and let somebody else enjoy it. I was just so happy that Randy Spears got Best Actor for DMJ 6 as well. It was a really great movie." nnG. Ross: "You'll be at Hustler Hollywood tonight." nnValentine: "Tonight, yeah. It's 8 to 10. That should be fun....and I also had a very nice little toy while I was there in Cannes. It was Silvia Saint's ex, and Julia Ann is still trying to mooch on my leftovers. It was really funny because she hired him to do a scene with her. She had to pay him. He didn't have to be paid to have sex with me. He was a really nice little guy and if he comes over I'll definitely pounce on him again." nnG. Ross: "How do you feel about middle age porno executives?" nnValentine [laughing]: "Give me a call. I'm pushing 30, but I love getting older....there's advantages to getting older." nnG. Ross: "You get in the movies cheaper and you can get boy scouts to fuck you across the street." nnValentine: "We'll see about that...anyway, I was very honored to receive my award from Mark Davis. He's my all-time favorite and I could not have asked for anyone better to give me my award than him...there wasn't much time for anything else. Not too much time to get in trouble...I'll be here Monday to do the X Show. Actually when I read that on your site I said, I am? I learned that I was doing some kind of panel, but I'll roll with it. I'm pretty easy going. We're shooting it Tuesday."
