SANTA MONICA, Calif.
- Girls Gone Wild creator Joe Francis told AVN Online on Wednesday that call girl Ashley Alexander Dupre might
have been 17 years old when shooting footage in Miami in celebration of her 18th birthday.
"Girls Gone Wild received an email from Ashley Dupre's
attorney Don Buchwald at 11:03 p.m. PST on March 18, 2008. Mr. Buchwald made a
representation in his email that Ms. Dupre may have been 17 (a few weeks from
her 18th birthday) at the time of filming.
"All nude images of Ms. Dupre were taken in public places
and contain no sexual contact. In Florida,
where Ms. Dupre was filmed, the law allows even women under the age 18 to
being filmed nude with their consent. However, Girls Gone Wild has a
corporate policy not to use individuals under the age of 18.
"Given this policy, we have delayed the release of Ms.
Dupre's nude footage on the Internet and are investigating the matter. We
will make our decision shortly."
On Tuesday, Francis said he was combing his archives and would
release his findings at GirlsGoneWild.com
"shortly."
Francis
said Dupre, the prostitute whom former New York Gov. Eliot Spitzer hired to
visit him at a Washington, D.C.,
hotel in February, appeared in a 2003 Girls Gone Wild spring break
production during a weekend in Miami.
"After
fighting with a friend and getting thrown out of her hotel, Ms. Dupre sought
out a nearby Girls Gone Wild bus, signed her paperwork and immediately began
filming," Girls Gone Wild said Tuesday. "Ms. Dupre spent a full week
on the GGW bus and shot seven full-length tapes that included nudity and same-sex
contact. Dupre later took a Greyhound Bus home."
Francis offered Dupre $1 million to host his 2008 Girls Gone Wild Spring
Break Tour and pose for his new Girls Gone Wild magazine. He said he
withdrew the offer when someone told him he already had sexy footage of Dupre.
Francis likened Dupre to "a cloud that keeps circling back over the
landscape."
Francis was released from jail in Florida on
March 14 and flew to Los Angeles
to hold a news conference at the Beverly Hilton Hotel.
Francis still faces charges of misdemeanor sexual battery for allegedly
touching a woman inappropriately at a party in Los Angeles.
