LONDON - CC Media Live, a leader in development
and management of live video chat and pay-per-performance technologies, has
been nominated for the Eureka!
Award.
The company, which has offices in London
and Miami, is the
only adult-industry nominee. The award ceremony will take place Nov. 8 in London.
The Eureka!
Award, presented by Telemedia
magazine celebrates the wild and wacky - but useful - mobile services launched
in the past year.
"CC Media Live has been nominated for its live video-chat
application, which is currently taking the world by storm," said Ashley
Christie of CC Media Live's London
office. "We are up against some large corporate companies, and, being the only
adult entry, it would be very sweet to show how successful adult
applications/programs can be if run in a proper manner."
Other companies nominated include Rok Comics, a
cartoon/comics aggregator and publisher for mobile devices and PCs, which
allows people to buy content and publish their own work for others to buy; and Shooter's Dream from Prague-based Milk
& Honey Films, which features five 90-second mobisodes of an art-house
movie in which a man awakens in a foreign land with no memory of his past and
the feeling he is being watched.
The winner of the Eureka!
Award is chosen by audience members and online voters.
