MediaKey Chief Executive Officer Leon Standly agreed, adding, "[By] combining Encoding.tv's professional encoding services with MediaKey's managed DRM service and solutions, pay site owners will be able to offer superb quality Windows Media to their viewers while enjoying top-of-the-line security for their contents."

MediaKey is an internationally recognized Microsoft DRM partner established in 1999. It provides DRM solutions and Windows Media Digital Rights Management services to the global entertainment industry. The company also offers secure billing integration and content protection to payment service providers.

Encoding.tv is a full-service digital content encoding company that utilizes professional software technology to encode digital video content. The company combines state-of-the-art software tech with years of digital multimedia programming experience.

In addition to the collaboration, Encoding.tv also announced it will waive the DRM security encryption setup charge on all Windows Media Video movies the company encodes for customers, as long as clients provide a pre-established DRM profile obtained from a DRM solution provider such as MediaKey. For customers using Flash Video, the Encoding.tv partner company Media Conductor will continue to offer secure encryption using its proprietary flash player. Both Flash and Windows encoding demos as well as a DRM demo are available at the Encoding.tv website.
