Max Hardcore

Tony Johnston wriktes: "Dear Gene: I'm a big fan of Max Hardcore. Or at least, I used to be, until I rented his latest release, "Max Hardcore Extreme Vol. 11". I would like to ask Max what the fuck the deal is with the last scene? Although you can see him and the girl talking to each other, the only audio you can hear is some really lame disco music with Max singing over and over: "I've got a message for you, America. Fuck you!" It's evident that this is not a defect, but something the director intended to do.

"Fuck me, Max? Well, Fuck YOU!! See if I rent any of your tapes ever again. If that's the way you're going to treat your loyal fans, you can go straight to hell. That's where you're sure to end up anyway. Tony J."

Jeff from Legend has this to say -

Jeff: "That same guy must have e-mailed Max because he called me Monday morning reading almost the exact same thing. And he [Max] was really pissed off. Our editor had to loop a song over one of those scenes because there was so many audio edits that needed to be done. Apparently, rather than going to the trouble of doing audio edits, he must have just put a song over the whole scene. There's a couple of times in the song Max says things that are directed to certain reviewers that don't like his stuff. In the opening credits of Planet Max it shows him winning an award and that's when he says, 'Hey, America, I've got a message. Fuck you.' I think it's directed towards him not winning any awards here in America. The editor took it from there and out it over the last scene. Max called me today and said he was getting a lot of e-mails from people who are upset with this tape."
