Digital Playground’s all-girl line makes its debut with a compelling narrative that builds sexual tension with an erotic palette that ranges from sweet to sadistic but is always stimulating.

Director Kay Brandt tells the story of Cherry (mainstream actress and non-sex performer Judith Thompson), who runs a club where lesbian and bi-curious women come for lap dances and more. An enigmatic tease, Cherry manipulates her staff sexually—especially Harlow (Riley Steele), who lives with her but is more of a toy than a lover. In the opening sex scene, Harlow finds solace with her own plaything (Lux Kassidy), making love in an opulent, golden-walled bathroom that sets off their amber skin and flaxen hair. The scene sets a standard of quality in lighting and set design that is maintained throughout.

Lovers of plot-heavy porn will find much to rejoice about here, with several characters included solely to serve the storyline. Diamond Foxxx and Zoey Holloway set one narrative thread in motion; they cajole Ann Marie Rios into visiting the club on the same night that new dancer Winterlynn (Sinn Sage) makes her debut. But before Winterlynn can hit the stage she’s got to endure some sexual hazing from Harlow and the club’s other alpha strippers (Nina Mercedez and Vicki Chase).

The two best sex scenes are completely different in their emotional tenor. Sage and Celeste Star, two veteran girl/girl performers, enact a randy tryst between lesbian lovers who don’t need strap-ons to fuck each other. And tough stripper Chase is tasked with seducing the sexually timid Rios. Chase begins by delicately stroking Rios’ hand for several minutes, building an exquisitely slow burn as she sucks fingers and toes and nipples. A passionate climax leaves the two softly caressing as the screen fades to black. It’s an ending that leaves everything hanging … and anyone who’s found these characters engaging is sure to wonder what will happen next.
