Fans of Frank Miller's original will spot some familiarities: a sword-flashing ninja (Betty Wong), a glass-eyed villain (Joachim Kessef) done in by an army of whores, the near-drowning in tar of one character (Alain Deloin), yellow-hued monster Ugly Bastard (Kevin Long).

Female standouts include Mya Diamond as a crafty hooker, Vanessa as the d.p.-loving mercenary leader, and pretty Xenia Lova as the life-love of the hero Bleck (Reda Semlahen). Striking visuals, plus anal sex in every scene.
