"Macumba" is the name of a malevolent goddess embodied by star Ajita Wilson (who played another evil lordess in Franco's Sadomania and has her rumored transsexuality discussed in the included interviews with the director and co-headliner Coster).

Summoned by this strange spirit, real estate agent Coster enters an otherworld where she encounters naked slaves, disturbing figurines and a para-sexual gateway to a depraved destiny.

Very trippy and full of beautifully sinister imagery, Sexual also boasts a bit of actual hardcore-ness (though it's very, very light), making it a must-see for Franco devotees. And this transfer of the film is pristine, just bursting in brilliant Cinemascope majesty.

Kinky, bizarre, rich retrosmut.
