A man's bloody face is not the first thing you want to see on an adult DVD. But that's how David Stanley starts off this charming fable, told in flashback, about two people who love each other but can't connect.

Chris Cannon is best friends with Jenna Haze. She proposes: "If we don't find anybody better by our next birthday, we just marry each other." But he's more committed to "booze, hookers and doms."

He fantasizes about making love to her – the best sex scene – but she marries someone else. There's a happy ending with a twist. Excellent performances by both leads.
