Anal intrusions, pussy poking and d.p.s seems hardly the stuff of opera, but this Faust ain't what Charles Gounod had in mind.

Rather, this Faust retells with the requisite concentration on the sins of lust and of the flesh casting the title character (Toni Ribas) as a photographer and Marguerite as the object of his and Mephistopheles' (Nacho Vidal) affection, though without the arias. Also of note is the transfer of the disc, which is beautiful with no visible flaws.
