Critical Rating: AAA 1/2

High production values and intelligent camera work make this a compelling visual experience, even when sex is not the subject. Director of photography François Frizat brings a strong sense of urban menace to this noir tale of working girls trying to live the top-dollar good life in the smoke and shadows of a city night. Scripted by Krista Maze, the production includes fog machine effects and elaborate theatrical lighting, as when a bullying cop gets his freebie hump from a streetwalker, leaning against his squad car with all the lights flashing around him. There's nothing here you haven't seen before, even if not quite so lavishly shot. Using an eat-pussy/finger-fuck/blowjob/girl-on-top/doggy/missionary/facial formula again and again, it's standard porn swathed in the trappings of class, thanks to an MTV approach to visual storytelling.
