Couples with degrees in film criticism may find some moments of amusement in here
The voyeurism inherent in Hitchcock's Rear Window has long been a subject of prurient interest among film scholars. In that film, Jimmy Stewart is laid up in a wheelchair after breaking his leg. In Jerome Tanner's XXX adaptation, Herschel Savage is similarly incapacitated when Amber Michaels slams the door of his town-and-country sedan on his penis.
Both Savage and Stewart resort to the same entertainment: They pick up binoculars and spy on the private lives of their neighbors. While Stewart must sit still watching the brutal Raymond Burr, Savage has the more agonizing chore of watching his perverted neighbors merrily hump away at each other, and can do nothing since his hard-on is encased in plaster. A few scenes are played with wit, especially by Raquel DeVine, who has an extremely sexy voice.
Although she could easily make Tony Tedeschi cum by just using her vocal cords, she generously supplements this with her, uh, rear window.
Other scenes, like the big fake lesbo orgy, with its endless din of insincere "oh, yeah!"s, will have viewers wishing Tanner had supplied them with strap-on brains rather than strap-on cocks. Where is Thelma Ritter when you need her? Unfortunately, after the prerequisite four sex scenes, the story is abandoned and ends with no resolution.
