It's life in the big city, baby.  The Big Apple, to be exact.  Auditions that go nowhere, careers that frustrate, parents who want you to give up your dreams of Broadway, lovers you can't get rid of and potential lovers who think you're their best buddy.  Our three friends learn the hard way that life may be a stage but sometimes it's hard to know whether you're laughing or crying because it's impossible to differentiate between comedy and tragedy.

Robert loves Marc but loves David who doesn't love anybody except maybe himself.  Their plump and pretty friend, Cynthia, loves to shop but hates to work.  Together they learn about love, friendship and success.  This is a beautiful film with terrific acting, a touching plot and characters you'll care about.  There's no explicit sex, although there's both a het and a gay softcore sex scene that's pretty hot.  Lots of male/male romance and relationship interactions.

A great tape for thinking lovers of any persuasion looking for an adult, but not X-rated, film.
