Synopsis

Clever writing and well-shot sex.

Reviews

Holly Hollywood is a struggling actress, tired of living in her car, who moves in with aspiring actors Trent Tesoro and April. Hollywood refuses to fuck a sleazy casting director (but the next girl falls for the exact same approach), and Tesoro invites her back to the homestead for margaritas.

April, it turns out, is pathologically jealous (read: B-I-T-C-H) and suggests that Hollywood should suck dick to get a part, and seduces her in a hot tub just to seal the deal, as it were. The next casting agentApril sees (Joel Lawrence) gets the piece, April gets the part, and right after April gives Tesoro the heave-ho (read: "Dear John") Hollywood decides to get work any way she can (read: "porn.")

And when she finally decides to take that step — guess who she does her scene with. Anybody who says "Tesoro, the nice guy who just got dumped by that bitch April" can go to the head of the class.

Clever writing by Quasar ("You know that soap operas are one step above porn?" "I'll remember that if the role requires anal.") and film-look images, also by Quasar, real Hollywood locations (not Ventura Boulevard standing in for Sunset) and well-shot sex scenes make this a good package for the plot-driven or comedy shelf.

Pre-noms for script, videography, and April for supporting actress. Hooray for Hooray For Hollywood.
