Retailers beware: despite what the boxcover claims, this is a video, not a film.

The plot concerns a large chateau, a big party, a virgin maidservant and a mysterious countess with a secret involving her sadistic first encounter with the opposite sex. A great feature could have been made from this material, but this ain't it.

The video images are overlit and harsh; the dubbing is dreadful; the sex scenes meander; and by the time the costumed players get together for an orgy at the end, it's too late. Only the genuine chateau location boosts the rating half a point.

Maybe there's a good Italian version of this somewhere.
