Cheerful, uninhibited fucking and an effective, believable script recommend this couples-oriented effort, which features some undeniably beautiful women who righteously involve themselves in their sexual interludes. Asia Carrera frantically pussy-whips Joey Silvera on a mattress in an alley, and her disappointed comment of "You're not going to cum already?!" humorously baffles the visibly exhausted Silvera. A scalding all-girl three-way transpires between Carrera, Jenteal and Felicia, where Asia tongue-titillates Felicia's snatch while Felecia corrupts Jenteal's cunt with a humming pink vibrator. It's Jill Kelly, however, who garners a best performance nomination, and her potent interpretation of last year's jilted model displays a dedication and candor that all adult actresses would do well to emulate. Jill's two scenes, with Bobby Vitale and Steve Drake, respectively run the gamut from tender to torrid. While the sexual activity in This Year's Model wins no awards for creativity, the mood maintains the sort of persuasive pace required for placement in the category of all-around video pleasers.
