Anybody notice that some folks seem to crank out material with the regularity of a cock (the feathered kind) crowing at sunrise, while John Leslie has taken nearly a year to gift us with just three entries in the Fresh Meat series? This is not a complaint. Quality work takes time as well as talent, Fresh Meat 3 proves that Leslie and company have both in abundance.
One might argue that FM3 is more style than substance—but what style! And what substance! With awards-worthy direction, videography and editing, Leslie uses film, video and a healthy dose of post-production savvy to create a series of unrelated vignettes, each of which is its own little masterpiece. In the best sequences, linear time takes a holiday when Brooke teases, then pleases, contractors Tom Byron and Mr. Marcus in her opulent, indoor pool; tough gangster Ruby beats her prisoner to a pulp before she bans him into bliss; and Kaye D'Ance, Carlie and Sean Michaels share a living room tryst while Jon Dough slips his breadstick to Monique DeMoan in the bedroom.
The sex varies in intensity from scene to scene, all of it good, some of it great; but it's the skillful direction, natural dialogue and the "slice of life" qualities that make FM3 such a satisfying vid.
So take your time, John. We appreciate it.
