Ah, the beach. Blazing sun, hot sand, hardbodies, the smell of hot dogs. Take this particular hot dog – please. Babe-Watch is a halfhearted twist on the old "job interview" routine, featuring Joey Silvera as a lifeguard captain on the prowl for new recruits. He gets Kat Karlson into a "wet" suit in record time, tit-humping her in his cabana (which resembles an apartment, as do all the sets).

In the most arousing scene, Byron (also a lifeguard) makes heavy waves practicing CPR with Nikki Shane. But what's Ron Hightower doing shooting snapshots of Elizabeth Jama? Their tryst is okay, but it's dropped in from nowhere. The music – a weird backthrow to the early '60s brass muzak – can't cover a persistent buzzing, and there isn't even a vibrator in sight.

The wet-look Nikki Shane on the pretty box cover will attract mounds of interest, though.
