I can't tell you the number of times I've searched high and low for an out-of-print (or unreleased) adult-film from the Golden Age of Porn. Popporn might one day become the answer to that problem. In Popporn, Powers plays host for a look at a film from porn's illustrious past. Unfortunately, this inspired concept is ill served by the selection here.

Safari Club the "classic" film featured, only proves that even a Golden Age has its share of turkeys. While the acting is for the most part superior to what is generally seen in the medium today, the story is beyond silly, the sex painfully boring, and the film as a whole really should have been allowed to rest in peace.

Powers is as loose and entertaining as ever -- look for the added scene where he takes Gabriel's video cherry -- but if there is a Popporn II, hopefully a real "lost classic" will be showcased. In that event, the series could soon become more popular than those endless anal-sex serials.
