Originally found on the Essex label, Pleasure Maze was probably lost in the maze of Sci-Fi films and videos that came out of the adult industry in the 1980's.
Pleasure Productions has re-released the movie, which should be particularly cheering to the legion of Joanna Storm fanatics that are swelling in the ranks. Thanks in part to the cult status brought to her by the New York rock group, The Sporting Bachelors, Storm clearly displays why she's considered one of the all-time superstars, though this film s by no stretch of the imagination a major vehicle for her.
Storm and Jon Martin play a couple of laboratory scientists of the future who are monitoring a new form of android hooker called a nightdroid. The testing procedures are so simple, it's easy to see how the producers of this film got out the backdoor with nary a dent in the budget. All the couplings take place on a simple, futuristically-lit black lacquered platform bed, and all the droids in the alpha and beta series are put through their paces - almost redundantly. The nice thing about it all, of course, is seeing Tracey Adams, Nina Hartley et al. sporting the younger bodies. And the sex scenes are hardening.
Joey Silvera is a tester who wants to experience the new form of nightdroid, the Delta (Amber Lynn). Joey keeps ranting to fellow tester Jerry Butler about waiting for the Delta. All I can tell you, Joey, is that Delta is ready when you are.
