Reviews

I don't know what neck of the woods you hail from, but where I sit in my log cabin, wannabe moms don't look like Jennifer Stewart with the sleek long blonde hair and eternal legs swathed in mini dresses up to the ass -- and -- the obligatory black high heels.  Otherwise, I'd be a wannabe dad, and that hasn't happened.  So now we have to buy this premise that Stewart would rather have kids than make a zillion dollars for table dancing or doing sex scenes.  But the mom thing isn't going to happen while Stewart's husband (Joel Schultz) remains "infertile."

So forget the crotch thermometers and a precise lovemaking schedule that resembles the arrival and departures sheet at LAX.  Introduce the plot element of the best friends -- Jerry Butler and Sharon Kane who have hone sex with each other, and, which you can tell by the title, is going to necessitate Butler doing the surrogate number.  I guess going to a full scale orgy can turn anyone on, even tentative Stewart who relents and offers herself up to Butler's loutish character much  in the same vein of enthusiasm Fay Wray did with King Kong.  (It's those white knee socks Jerry, get rid of them after 4,236 sex scenes for cryin' out loud).  But you can gues what happens from here on.

Stewart is a genuine find.  She's beautiful and can act (her crying jag scene with Kane proves this). In doggie-style, Stewart bends over voraciously and thrusts her gorgeous posterior like an automobile piston in Days of Thunder.  In the lesbian duo with Kane, you'll find one of the most artfully shot, lyrical scenes going.

A beautiful looking film and a solid entry in the couples' market.
