Critical Rating: AA 1/2

Proposals is a lightweight comedy about the intertwining romances of some close buddies and their girlfriends. It gets off to a terrific start with a supercharged, sweaty session featuring Jade East and Tony Montana. Later on, Buck Adams finds the honeymoon house lent to him by Randy West is completely sans furniture, so Buck and his bride Samantha Strong make the best of it on the hardwood floor with a passionate and heated exchange. Buck gets his revenge by spiking Randy's ever-present jar of lubricant with novicane, causing West total embarrassment.

As a couples video, Proposals is not quite egalitarian, since the women are required to simply bat their eyes and spread their legs on cue, while the men get all the fun with honeymoon hi-jinks. And yet the women seem to have the guys wrapped around their fingers, marriage-wise... so who's to say?

Proposals sports and attractive cast, a fun (but slight) story, and is marred only by the intrusion of an overzealous director giving audible instructions during the shoot.
