Fans of truly demented characters will take heart to note that motel manager Norman Butts (Jerry Butler) has been exonerated by the law since the first Butts' Motel feature. Now, Norman has to deal with slurippy Mr. Romada (Robert Bullock) who represents the Best Eastern Hotel chain that's trying for a hostile takeover of the Butts property.
Blackmail is as good as any time-honored scheme so Butler tries to set up Bullock in a number of compromising positions with hookers. Overall, thins get pretty silly; nevertheless Butler's portrayal is an almost too good rendition of time bomb-ticking psychoses. The sex scenes are well played and very energetic, a lot better than in the first installment. Bullock looks truly wiped out after he gets through with Christy Robbins, Tara Blake and, then, Trinity Loren. Wouldn't you? Looks like a bona fide follow-up winner to the first hit, with unusual, interesting packaging.
