The Pleasure Game is an overly generous insight into the mentality that concocts shot-on-video plots.  Jon Martin is a “who loves you, babe; you’re magic, babe; talk to me, babe;” producer who smokes cigars and has the sincerity of polyester.

Basically, Martin works as the sounding board for writers who come up with ludicrous sex fantasies they’re peddling as hot ideas.  Now, it’s not really clear whether Shanna McCullough is a hooker who fancies herself a writer or the other way around.  Some people will tell you there’s no real distinction. Unfortunately, McCullough is dismissed all too early from this weak storyline.

Patti Petite is Martin’s horny secretary who’s more than willing to give the scribes a second opinion.  Tracey Adams shows up for real no apparent reason, as herself, simply to do her nails, get in a couple of desktop sex acts and collect her check.

With obvious insight to the fact the video is rambling along without destination, Martin’s character suggests fading to black. Best idea he had all day.
