Much to my surprise, The Bottom Line is not an anal sex movie. The line referred to in the title is the one a prospective buyer signs on a real estate purchase agreement. Once that is established and this writer's disappointment passes, we can get down to reviewing.

I have preached from the AVN pulpit for years now that most of today's adult movie performers acting talents lie between their legs and their mouths. (More tongue acting than word acting.) It takes an experienced director and time and patience to make scripts like this one more than excuses to go from one sex act to the next one. Unfortunately, director Albert Berry has not got either the talent nor desire to make The Bottom Line more than an excuse. The sexual performances are adequate, but Berry seems more inclined to make the sex the star. He seems not to care about slips of the tongue but rather where the tongue slips. A performer opens a door and closes it behind her only to then open a door and enter the next room. He obviously has a script which beds his actors but the words are extraneous to the next sex scene.

Fine, we're talking sex here anyway. Most of the erotic scenes are well-played and photograph with more attention to the "Tweeners" (that is, what goes on between sex and sex). He has the potential to make a winner, what with a premise of how to succeed in business by really trying. Fast forward past the dreadful acting and watch a professional cast perform watchable sex.
