This is no ordinary nun's story. These are Buddhist nuns. The subject of what goes on behind closed doors is never more salacious than when attached to a peek behind a convent.
Unfortunately, this Orchids import is below par. I'm willing to accept a minimum of production standards if the sex is intimate and exciting, but The Nun's Story contains awkward, hopeless acting and sex scenes. The two young nuns who are nubile and innocent to say the least, are very reluctant to touch themselves, each other, or to respond in the slightest way to the two "rapist" who invade their pagoda shelter.
You can virtually hear the off-camera director whining, "Touch your (breast), no, lower. Now the other one," etc. There is only one dubbed female voice who makes the noises for both nuns, and there is no sound from the men at all during their lovemaking scene. Random bars of music flit in and out of the tape. The girls' bodies are very slight and beautiful, but the actresses themselves are reluctant and inert; not in a sexy way, teasing or building tension, but rather devoid of enthusiasm altogether.
