You'll have to read the box to figure out the story here, but if it's good-lookin' girls you're after then Beverly Hills Girls will fill your needs. Nine beautiful women "many right out of the pages of Playboy and Penthouse," get together for some simulated sex that often sizzles. But it lacks story continuity, and that hurts this softcore production.

The best sex takes place during the feature-ending party scene. As everyone goes off to different parts of the house for some fun, we are treated to some heterosexual action that's very erotic. I especially like the British girl who runs off to the study and lets her boyfriend leaf through her pages. The basement scene is also steamy as these two really bump and grind on the steps. The rest of the sex is all lesbian and masturbation (the opening editing room solo by Michelle Bauer, and her seduction of the real estate agent, take top honors in those departments).

Producer Glen Kral and director Mike Hall also showcase two musical numbers which are actually performed by Becky Le Beau and Linnea La Stray. There's lots of MTV-style effects, but the soundtrack and picture are not always in sync. However, the soundtrack (which is available on Nutoon Records) is recorded in hi-fi stereo sound.

Kral and Hall also use special effects liberally throughout the feature. Weird coloring and slow-motion techniques are OK in moderation, but I wanted to see these girls' bodies and the special effects only get in the way.

Still, Beverly Hills Girls is a breath of fresh air in a market dominated by T&A college comedies and older, edited, X-rated features. The new faces and titillating sex make this tape worth a rental.
