A kinky take-off on women-in-prison movies, Desperate Women shows that life can get mighty exciting, once behind bars.

Taija Rae plays a photojournalist researching an expose on corruption, who gets jailed so she can show what really happens in prison. Once in the slammer, she comes in contact with a host of sordid types, including a prison matron (with a shaved vagina), a perverted male warden and a seedy Spanish cellmate, played by Sharon Mitchell.

The accent is on threesomes as the women in this penitentiary unleash their pent-up sexual desires. And right in the middle of it all the swarminess is not-too-innocent Taija.

As in producer Kim Christy's previous kinkoramas like Squalor Motel, there's lots of pulsating close-ups as well as a host of sleazy characters. But there's also a certain punk style working here; the proceedings may remind you of a photo layout in Chic magazine – it's fashionably kinky.

The cast of hot-to-trot honeys like Sheri St. Clair, Tantala and Aurora are a bit on the tough side. But if you're looking for sex on the wild side, Desperate Women fits the bill, with no chains attached.
