What's worse than an adult flick with no plot? That's right: one with a plot that could have ben taken right out of a Women Against Pornography pamphlet. Folks, I think this is the stuff that used to pass for the "redeeming social value" which had to be included in every adult feature before the American public grew up enough to accept sex for its own sake.

And this is a classic: Shanna, a virgin before her marriage, is forced to act out her husband's (Jerry Butler) fantasies. In fact, he can't get it up unless she does. But then they both hear of a therapist (Nina Hartley) who does wonders with these kind of cases... and does she ever. (You're about 20 minutes into the film at this point, and about to try to forget everything that's happened so far.) The therapist works, all right. She sparks Shanna's imagination, and wifely decides she wants to try it all: making it with two guys while Jerry watches; making it with two girls while Jerry watches; making it with the girls and rubber appliances while Jerry watches. Finally, he can't take it anymore and splits, leaving her to have a good time. And I mean good!

This is really where the strength of this movie is: Shanna, Nina and Kimberly having fun in bed with everybody else in the cast except Jerry. But even this pleasure is frustrated (for us) by too, too many 20 second segments that interrupt the action while Shanna and Jerry explain to us the psychological motivations for their actions. WHY??? Who gives a damn? Could it be that the writer isn't sure that sex for its own sake is a good thing? Could that be why Shanna and Jerry split up at the end of the flick?

My advice: Enjoy the sex and scan through the explanations. WAP wouldn't approve of this movie anyway, but you can suck out the juices.
