Well, now, here's an item that's about as rare as finding a taxicab on a rainy night' a sequel that tops its predecessor in just about every department. Taxi Girls Part II is a tasty joyride that combines everything from European erotica and a French Connection-like subplot to midgets and (literal) statutory rape, and is certain to get the most blase porn viewer's meter running.
Since the original Taxi Girls ended, the mobile call girl operation has gone international. But when mobsters move in on L.A. headquarters and kidnap head operator Toni, European operatives Nicole Vartan, Kari Foxx and Shanna McCullough come to America to find the kidnappers, unaware that they're the pawns in a drug-smuggling operation. With some help from Interpol agent John Leslie and a midget named "M.S." (for Mini-Stud), the girls concoct a "sting" operation that traps the crooks.
The sex scenes here are stylish with a capital "sty," starting with Vartan's encounter in a posh Parisian salon; a public display that gets another customer to giving himself some relief. Jamie Gillis shines in a brief appearance as a British client, as does John Pierre Armand as Vartan's French lover, whose murder sets the subplot in motion.
Many of the erotic segments are done with a light touch that works well against the dramatic background, in particular a four-way female orgy that gives the butler something to watch, a party sequence that gives little M.S. a chance to show why he's the perfect height for maid Maria Tortuga, and a scene where the Taxi Girls "milk" information out of a captured crook by working him to the point of ecstasy... and then leaving him high and dry. The pain on his face is surely felt by every male viewer.
If there is a problem here, it may be that the film's denouement seems much too abrupt (we never do even lear if the girls find the titular Toni), but that's only because we want to see more of these girls and watch them work their magic in sunny California. If the same folks ever set up plans for a Taxi Girls Part III, then include this reviewer along for the ride.
