Hot Rockers is not the first adult video to pontificate on the world of rock 'n roll, or to try and melt adult vidmaking with rock videos. Sex, Drugs and Rock 'n Roll, an ambitious effort, comes immediately to mind. So it's far from ironic that Tiffany Clark, wife of Fred Lincoln (director of Sex, Drugs and Rock 'n Roll), wrote and co-directed Hot Rockers.
A stereo soundtrack on two original rock songs by Sharon Kane, some nice video special effects and an ambitious attempt to recreate rock videos highlight this feature. Unfortunately, only average video quality, a few sound dropouts and poor lighting give Hot Rockers a feel of cheapness. Although some nice slow motion photography breaks up the monotony of the sex scenes, several of those segments linger way too long and are obviously bolstered by some simulated matching shots. Most videos do that, but here it's way too obvious.
The story has Sharon Kane, leader of the rock band Hot Rockers, telling a journalist all about the "dirt" about the group members. In flashback form, all the members' sex lives are exposed. The highlights include two scenes with the exciting Kane and Jose Duval (although the second seems a bit strained) and a couple of nicely paced lesbian roundelays.
An opportunity for a very unique video feature existed here, but the story in Hot Rockers goes nowhere. You never get the feeling that these people are musicians and that this is their lifestyles. But it's a decent attempt anyway.
