Of the many TV shows and movies that have had their premise adapted into an adult film, I Dream of Jeanie would seem to be a natural.  I mean, come on, a guy living with a gorgeous blonde who comes out of a bottle, grants any fantasy or wish and calls him “master?”  You know something had to be going on, and Ron Jeremy has stepped behind the camera to show you, although I Dream of Ginger did come out first.

Unfortunately, this is one of those times when the anticipation exceeds the actual event.  When “lovable nebbish” Jamie Gillis finds a mysterious bottle and takes it home, who should pop out but Amber Lynn, ready to give him whatever he wants?  And what does he ask for?  No, not a million dollars; he simply wants “to get laid” (me, I would have asked for a million dollars; then I could buy whoever I wanted. Oh, well).

Amber doesn’t simply grant him his request, however. She first “instructs” him in the art of lovemaking, orally (with an interracial lesbian sequence) and with a horny couple.  Gillis manages to have his way with the lesbian couple and the next day is given his “dream girl,” while his “genie” summons some exotic dancers for her own amusement.  Fulfilled at last, Jamie gives Amber her freedom and returns the bottle to the street, a better man for having found it.

There is good sex in Cock Tales (couldn’t they think of a better title than that?), but why didn’t they give the two stars a scene together?  The big “genie/master” scene you think the action is building towards never happens, wasting two erotic giants. What we do get, though, should satisfy the carnal connoisseur.  Gillis and Lynn work well with their partners, and a semi-related plot set in an office building gives us three couplings that are sure to arouse (one of them an interracial scene).  Taken fro what it does have rather than what it might have been, this “cock tale” is a halfway decent “one for the road.”
