Pleasure Zones, Harold J. Perkins latest, is a pleasant 80-minute journal into a vast sexual smorgasbord. Since the plot in Pleasure Zones does nothing to enhance the film, we're fortunate to have a film with superior sex.

Gorgeous newcomer Rachel Wells serves as the "pleasure guide," transporting us into the bedrooms and playpens of various people who attempt to achieve the true pinnacle of pleasure. Now if only Rachel would join in the fun! As fate would have it (or should I say Harold Perkins), she only joins us between each sex scene and never actually participates in the hardcore action.

Although I could mention all of the torrid sex scenes in Pleasure Zones I found that the intense threesome between Dede Collins, Steve Venture, and Bennett Hall approached a height of eroticism rarely every captured in contemporary adult films. Also, John Leslie, Laura Lazar, Herschel Savage, Mai Lin, Jamie Gillis, Janey Robbins, and Paul Thomas put in excellent supporting performances.

With its all-star cast and spine-tingling sex, Pleasure Zones could have easily been a AAAA film. But the plot is so uninspiring that I must subtract one A for lack of creativity. Regardless of this, Pleasure Zones is still a sexually fulfilling excursion.
