Recipe for Luscious:

Ingredients: Three gals (in this case, Samantha Fox, Lisa DeLeeuw and Champagne), four lucky guys, one hotel resort and one great hotel manager (where do I check in?)

Instructions: Simply mix all the ingredients together, add some great sex scenes to one hair-brained plot containing one script. Film it. Edit. Serve heated.

It's cold. So naturally out three frigid heroines stroll out of work (singing "La Cucaracha," no less – a moment that's at least worth the price of a video rental), and take off for the Caribbean. There they check into the Casa Luscious (where else?). Yes, folks, it's the old girls go on vacation and get into crazy hijinks trick, as predictable as it's old. In a role that will not maybe earn her a nomination – except in maybe the best prop in an adult movie category – Vanessa Del Rio, a personal favorite plays the hotel manager. Well, maybe "plays" is too strong a word. She stands behind the check-in desk and that's a more accurate description. In fact, I've come to the conclusion that Vanessa is a first porn method actress. I wonder if she studied under Strasberg? Joe Strasberg, that is.

Anyway, after the girls check in, they waste no time finding suitable partners. In a clever fantasy sequence, we see a male model-type, Russian spy (Michael Knight) being interrogated by two of our stars. They undress and seduce him in a scene that is not in line with our current foreign policy.

If the writers have continued from there, this film would have been more fun. But the plot gets stranded. The couples have sex, take a boat trip to a nearby island, have sex, get stranded on an island, have sex, get trapped in a cave, escape from a cave (seconds later) and return home. Every plot turn is pointless and predictable. Fortunately, the sex scenes are steamy, especially a bedroom romp with Vanessa Del Rio near the end.

Although the plot leaves everything to be desires, there are a few good reasons to see Luscious. The best one is being the ultra-realism of the sex. These girls are pros and it shows. They have all developed a screen presence and, better yet, a real flair for comedy. Everyone in Luscious looks great and performs sexually as if it's their first time. Now that's acting!

Overall, more could have been done with this star-studded cast. The photography is high-priced but what we're left with after sex could be outtakes from Fantasy Island. They could keep pretty tropical travelogue and provided a better structured plot.
