Enigma deserves three and a half A's for its production values and a hot looking cast ... but little else.
While sex and crime go together like Fluff and peanut butter, Enigma -which unspools like a poorly dubbed Quinn/Martin production - manages to deftly sidestep both mystery and thrills, leaving sex to carry the load of a feature length presentation. The burden is simply too heavy.
If your customers choose to fast forward through the increasingly obvious "Who Killed Cock Robin" exposition, they'll miss the lensing of some gorgeous Italian estates ... which overpowers the equally gorgeous Italian pussy found therein. (One can almost hear the producers screaming, "We paid top money for these locations, and by God we'll show 'em off!")
And while we're on the subject of showing off, it should be noted that the cast are a stimulating bunch. The unidentified redhead is particularly killer. Sucking on private dick in a very public park, the couple escalates to rectal ministrations in the typical European manner; i.e. with about as much anticipation as one butters a croissant. The action is perfunctory - but damn, her prodigious jugs sure are jiggly!
Elsewhere, a poolside foursome beckons with bone-stiffening potential. When the doggie-style humping is shot from the other side of the pool, all that remains is a wet blanket. Sans close-ups, the scene eats up precious screen time. In cases such as this, the true enigma is why Euro productions look so much better than they deserve to be.
