With its Lolita-inspired boxcover, Baby Face unmistakably targets the "barely legal" aficionado. The movie they'll wind up watching, however, bears little relation to the genre; at least as they know it. Set in a fantasyland finishing school in South America (no typo!), the students - despite their girlish wardrobe - are clearly of age. If their attractive faces don't show it, their actions provide enough evidence. Despite a voiceover feigning innocence and a handful of requisite "playful" shots, Bone's young ingénues have all clearly seen, sucked and fucked more cock than a retired Vegas whore. Whether or not the viewer will clearly see fucking and sucking is entirely another matter ?

Bone's had his run-ins with stylization before (usually with weirdly designed sets) but this time the quirk runs deeper. More to the point, the videography appears to be coated in Vaseline, wrapped in gauze and then run through the highest Gaussian filter setting in Photoshop. We kid you not. Sometimes it's like looking at David Hamilton photographs through a goddamned shower curtain. So when we're asked "How's the sex?" our first reaction is "blurry!" Frankly, our eyes are too old and weary to start differentiating between pussy and pixels.

Undoubtedly, a market exists for such fare. (Hence the rating.) Call it couples, call it softcore - despite butt reaming and facials - but whatever you do, don't make the mistake of recommending Baby Face to the wrong audience. The right audience, however, will appreciate the fact that the vid is populated with a plethora of [relative] unknowns, who are as arousing as they are unfamiliar. When a lily-white redhead and a sun-baked Brazilian hottie get together for bend-over duty with a local boy toy, the sparks really fly. For once, the editing lets the natural rhythms (and juices) of the performers dictate the pace rather than stylization for its own sake.
