SYNOPSIS
Shot-on-video political satire for frizzy-hair fetishists.
Well, they were ahead of their time with the sloganeering ("In the Pink" and what not) with 1984 presidential election-satire (remember Richard Gephardt?). The title refers to Erica Pink (Tanya Blake), who becomes gubernatorial candidate Frederick Spencer's (baby-faced Tony Martino) running mate.
The woefully verbose and overly sincere script ("the biggest thing since the Bay of Pigs") isn't corny enough to be amusing. But Genero's cramming of a more-than-mandatory amount of plot-motivated sex scenes is impressive. Of the seven (!) romps, four are straight boy/girl, one boy/girl/boy, a b.j. and a girl/girl in the back of a moving limo.
The transfer is par for Caballero, but the packaging is appropriate.
