For the second month in a row, directrix Celeste has wowed this critic with her incredibly inventive eye for lushly exotic imagery that's at once spellbinding and scorching.
A vehicle for relative newcummer to the Digital Playground stable Sophia Santi, Way of the Dragon invokes an Eastern motif, with bamboo, kimonos and zephyrs of pan flute dancing throughout the piece.
Between each scene, Santi slashes the air with a saber in a lightning flash of quick cuts, reminding you that despite the slow-motion visuals dominating the work, this thing is as highly charged as it gets. Greatly influenced by Quentin Tarantino's Kill Bill films, Dragon combines Asian mysticism with gut-churning funk, making it a total thrill to watch.
And most fantastically of all, every time you think nothing could top what's going on, something does. The most forthright example of this starts off with Celeste Star's solo scene toward the beginning - an absolute masterpiece of eroticism, without question - only to be followed later with one performed by the ridiculously mouthwatering Jamie Lynn – with chopsticks. She uses the utensils to tweeze first her tongue, then her nipples, then her pussy lips, and lord almighty, what more is there to say about that?!
Another great scene (just to pick one out of the bag, pretty much) is the opening threeway with Charmane Star, Jamie Huxley and Scott Nails, who gets the fortune of taking on each girl as she, in turn, laps at the poon of the other one.
And then there's the blowjob he gets from Penny Flame, which looks about as mind-blowing as one could be.
It must be noted that the editing here, by Joey Pulgadas and Blue Jennings, is rather spectacular in its own right, doing dazzling things with rhythmic timing, freeze frames, strobe effects and all sorts of other nifty stuff. Of course, it helps to have a videographer as deft as Robby D. shooting the footage for you.
Celeste has done it again. This production is, from beginning to end, flat-out stunning. And we can't wait to see what she does next.
