REVIEWS

Critical Rating: AAA 1/2

In this fairly interesting but baffling excursion into fantasy, lovers Kaylani Lei and Rocco Reed go from idyllic passion to degenerate sex club hell. Are they trapped in an alternate universe? Who is that weird guy (Randy Spears) who turns people into dolls and keeps them in a trashcan?

Is Kaylani really a prostitute and Rocco her John? Is her name Crystal or Gina? "Everything I once knew is gone," she laments. "There is no time or space." None of these questions are satisfactorily answered, but director Clousot is good at creating nightmarish atmosphere, and there's some good sex, especially Reed's scene with Tanya James.
