Synopsis

Editor in Chief of Haute Couture Magazine Julia Ann is a ruthless, posh and cruel woman who makes all her interns prove how badly they want to be part of the "In" crowd. Samantha (Ryan), one of the lucky girls to land the exclusive internship, will do anything to get ahead. Ruth (Zoe Britton), Samantha's main competition, sets out to use the naive Allie (Haze) to set Samantha up for a fall from grace. Little does Ruth know she has stepped on one too many toes, and interns Zoe (Voss) and Violet (Monroe) have it out for her. Who will "break their heel and fall off the runway?" Come and find out as we reveal a fashion industry tale of backstabbing, true love and stilettos.

Reviews

Distinguished by two outstanding sex scenes featuring Samantha Ryan, The Interns, the debut of New Sensations’ Sappholine, is heavy on plot and acting, with five very long sex scenes emphasizing all the right lesbian moves. The emphasis is on romance, kissing and slow, seductive sex using hand and mouth movements rather than toys or anal beads.

The nasty, backstabbing world of the interns at a fashion magazine and the devious ways they attempt to climb the corporate ladder make for deal making and breaking, where everything is sealed with a pussy lick. So you get Ryan using her influence to seduce Avy Scott into featuring her new fashion line at Haute Couture Magazine rather than rival Glitter, and using that seduction sexually as well. This half-hour epic of a scene features eating, licking, grinding, face-sitting and multiple orgasms from two of porn’s most authentic lesbian performers.

Later, as Samantha moves up the corporate ladder, she and her boss (Julia Ann) engage in a slow, simmering scene where Samantha nearly cries while she orgasms. A champagne-laden tryst with Allie Haze and Zoe Britton provides some sparks as well, but the three-way photography session with Charlie Laine, Michelle Lay and Sara Stone feels mannered and draggy in a way that goes against the other scenes. The closer with Julia Ann and Zoe Britton pales compared to their previous scenes, though it closes out the plot with a twist.

A slick look and some realistic dialogue differentiate The Interns from just another girl/girl movie, and that adds some depth. Those Samantha Ryan scenes are the highlights, but overall, it’s a promising debut for this new line.
