Babeland Goes to Brooklyn

NEW YORK – Babeland will open a new location in Brooklyn on June 3, becoming the borough’s first women-friendly boutique retailer of sex toys and accessories, the company said.

 

The store will be located at 462 Bergen St. in Park Slope.

“We’ll tailor our in-store events to the interests of this unique neighborhood, beginning with the first in a series of ‘Sexy Mom’ events on June 24,” co-founder Claire Cavanah said. “This monthly series will address issues relating to desire, body image, making time for sex, and what it means to be a sex-positive family.”

The store’s grand-opening party is set for Sunday, June 15. Cavanah said guests will be treated to gift bags, store tours, and previews of the company’s most popular workshops.

 

“We’ll raffle fabulous Babeland goodie bags every hour and a grand prize you’ll have to see to believe,” she said. “The first 50 customers will receive a free Babeland Silver Bullet.”
