Quickly picking up buzz in the industry after getting her start in late 2009, Dillon became known in short order as a decidedly hardcore girl, and put that quality on display in such major releases as This Ain't Avatar XXX 3D (Hustler Video), The Human Sexipede (Tom Byron Pictures) and Young & Glamorous 2 (Jules Jordan Video). She went on to receive a nomination from AVN in 2011 for the prized Best New Starlet award.

Dillon says she had never watched porn before Jenna Haze came to feature dance at the San Diego strip club where Dillon was working at the time, and that she checked out one of Jenna's movies because "I thought she was pretty so I decided I wanted to see what she looked like." Apparently, Jenna had the same feeling about her, and recommended to her that she give porn a try. Dillon laughed off the suggestion at first, but within two weeks, had shot her first scene.
